Past Work in Depth

Things I did to some websites.

I could tell you some late night horror stories of coding sessions - Oh! Wait! That's for when we go camping and are sitting around a campfire. So we will talk about those things when we get to camp!

A Plethoria of Consequences

The forming of Womack Salon Academy.com Link

Imagine you are walking into a hair salon and you get to talking with the owner and she says, "I'd like to have you do my website to promote my school. Can you do that?" I told her that I would try my best. She needed a contact email form so that students could submit an online application to her academy. She also wanted a front (also known as an index page) rotating message telling everyone that visited the website that on Tuesday a senior citizen could come in and get a free haircut. The rotating message even tells you when the day is about to happen. This website is an original design but the website is incomplete as I am waiting on further content from the owner. This new content will set her up with the ability to sell items online as well as list the available services she is offering at her salon.

After finishing most of Womack Salon Academy's website I get an interesting phone call from a woman (Mrs. Womack's sister) telling me she liked what she saw and wanted me to do the same for her business. She wanted a contact email so customers could tell her what they wanted, a photo gallery for her events and a whole lot more. This website was designed around a template she found online. This website is now complete and has a maintenance/support contract.

Driving in to Rite-Way Wire & Wheel Specialists Link

This one was a "funny thing happened on the way to the forum". Driving down a California freeway, on a day whose driving conditions could only be described as a deluge, I managed to not miss the worst pothole ever and bent the two right side rims of my car. So I went looking and asking around to find out who could repair my rims as they are about $700 each. Rite-Way was mentioned to me so I checked them out. They couldn't repair my rims as they were cracked (so the insurance company replaced them). As I was in Rite-Ways' office talking with one of the owners, I got a call from Mrs. Womack and as luck would have it, the owner of Rite-Way had been thinking about having a website just before I walked in. The other partner was quickly called in, a hasty discussion was held about what was wanted and they were up and running by the end of the week. This website is an original design but the website is incomplete as I am waiting on further content from the owner which will fill in some informational pages and a few before/after images of damaged and repaired wheels for a gallery.
